The Central & South-East European Institute for Sustainable Cooperation and Development (CSEE ISCD) is dedicated to advancing sustainable development and fostering cross-cultural connections through innovative research and practical solutions. Introduction

The CSEE ISCD is a research center established by OCECCD, committed to advancing foundational and applied studies in the social sciences. Focused on the unique geoeconomic and geopolitical dynamics of the Central and South-East European region, the Institute also delivers in-depth analyses and innovative solutions to address structural challenges and offer a fresh perspective on global trends from the region’s standpoint.

Adopting an interdisciplinary approach, CSEE ISCD integrates economics, political science, and cultural and social studies to provide a holistic understanding of the region’s developmental potential. The inaugural Sahel Dialogue with Central and South-East Europe: The Connections Forum 2024, held on 28th November in the vibrant city of Budapest, concluded successfully, setting a high standard for future collaboration. Bringing together leaders, diplomats, policymakers, and experts from the Sahel region and Central and South-East Europe, the Forum served as a dynamic platform for dialogue and partnership-building.

Under the theme “Dialogue and Mutual Respect: Collaboration for Development and Stability,” the Forum emphasized the shared commitment to addressing global and regional challenges. In collaboration with OCECCD, we are honored to host the 3rd Energy Forum,a premier platform for industry leaders, policymakers, and experts. This event will explore the latest trends in energy, sustainability, geopolitics and resilience, and promote forward-looking strategies for a more balanced and secure future.

Diplomacy & More 2025

Following the success of its inaugural edition, the 2nd Diplomacy & More event returns to explore the expanding horizons of non-traditional diplomacy. This engaging forum will bring together diplomats, academics and practitioners to explore the intersection of cultural and sports diplomacy and other innovative channels that shape international cooperation.

Workshops, Forums, and Regional Dialogues

To complement these flagship events, we are organising a dynamic series of workshops and forums in key cities, including Vienna, Budapest, Ljubljana and Zagreb.
